The reason why it can effectively remove water is that the dryer with no heat regeneration absorbs water in the air according to the principle of pressure swing adsorption (PSA), and uses the balance of water vapor partial pressure between porous solid material surface (desiccant) and air, so as to obtain drier and cleaner gas with lower dew point temperature. Therefore, the selection of suitable desiccant is also an important part of the preparation work of the no heat regeneration device.


The excellent mechanical properties of activated alumina desiccant also play an important role in its application in non thermal regeneration device. When the activated alumina is added into the adsorption cylinder, it is often necessary to fill the adsorption cylinder to prevent the collision of the activated alumina in the adsorption cylinder, resulting in crushing and powder dropping, thus affecting the air inlet of the air compressor. Therefore, there are certain requirements for the compressive strength of activated alumina balls. It is generally required that its own strength is above 85, only in this way can it reach the normal service life, otherwise it will be used.


However, activated alumina desiccant is not only produced for drying, but also can absorb the vapor of lubricating oil from the polluted oxygen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, natural gas, etc. It can be used as defluoridation agent for high fluorine drinking water, circulating alkane defluoridation agent in Alkylbenzene production, transformer oil deacidification regeneration agent, etc. At present, activated alumina has played an important role as desiccant and purifying agent in the electronic industry, such as gas drying, automatic instrument air drying, chemical fertilizer, iron and steel, petrochemical and other industries.
